MCCC Family,

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!  My family and I had a lovely time together over the holiday and glad to shut it down and relax.  I’m so very grateful for the wonderful leadership of Pastor Sarah, Jan Green, Nora Brant, Rick Painley and the many others who made worship special for the time I was away.  We are so blessed to not miss a beat with the wonderful leaders, thinkers, organizers, and theologians we have!  I hope and pray that each of you were able to truly embrace this unique time and to make the most of it.  

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was really special this year.  I know it was so very hard for all of us to not be “in the house” together, but I’m so grateful for all the hands that made the southside of the church look so special.  We had incredible special music from Jan Green, Beth and Ellie Schabel, Jon Secaur, and Ally Hurd and Jon Bozeka.  The greeters and parkers did a wonderful job getting everyone everything they needed and Sandi prepared a beautiful bulletin.  It was a beautiful night.  I am so very thankful for all who helped make it happen!

Gratitude

Once again our family was overwhelmed with the generosity and goodwill of the congregation with your Christmas gift. Thank you all SO MUCH and thank you for all your love and support throughout the whole experience of 2020.  It has been a year like no other, but I can say for sure that I am extraordinarily blessed to serve this incredible congregation! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. 

Worship

At this point we will continue worshipping via YouTube/Zoom on Sunday mornings.  The survey I sent out before Christmas gave us lots of good feedback to consider and we’ll certainly keep everyone updated as we make adjustments.  We will certainly (again) be asking for your patience and support in 2021 as we navigate the most current health recommendations and do our part to curb the spread of covid-19.  We will get through this and hopefully be together sometime this year!
