2021 MCCC vs. Babes of 1916
It was another beautiful day to play some softball! A tradition which began somewhere around 1995 and started by our own Roy & Myrtle Mayfield, we’ve only missed one year in the past 26 (COVID-19 ugh).
The Roy Mayfield Memorial Softball game continues to be one of the best Sundays of the year. The weather is always glorious and today was no exception. We were a little light in MCCC players this year, but very thankful to Jim Novak of the Babes for filling in as catcher for us today. The Babes gave MCCC a run for their money, but MCCC hung on to win 13-12! Unfortunately, we opted to not have a potluck picnic due to COVID concerns, but pray that next year we can join after the game for a meal with fellowship and conversation.
