MCCC Weekly Update – May 9, 2022
Hello on this glorious day!
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and hope you will make a point to take a walk, work in your garden, or simply sit outside and enjoy the warmth of the sunshine that is forecasted this week! I am one who is THRILLED this weather is finally upon us!
I have just a couple “repeats” from last week that I want to make sure no one misses:
- Please contact Pastor Chad if you are a youth in the congregation who might be interested in going on a mission trip this summer between July 3-10th. There is a minimal cost and would likely be in Dayton, Ohio to help with storm relief.
- If you are interested in Baptism this year, contact Pastor Chad at 330-569-4926 or [email protected]
In other news . . .
- Our Board meeting is this Sunday, May 15th, from 12-1pm in person at MCCC. There will be an email sent out shortly regarding this. All are welcome to attend!
- Youth Group “Human Library” Event is this Sunday, May 15th from 3-5 in the Fellowship Hall at MCCC. Bring a friend! RSVPs are helpful if possible – please contact Kathleen at: [email protected].
- KWM’s “Fill a Bag Event,” partnered with Silver Creek Church in Aurora, continues its drive THIS SATURDAY, at approx. 9:45am. See the attachment below to register and obtain more information, and PLEASE volunteer some of your time to help our communities with food needs if you are able! You can always contact Liz Meeker for more information at: (330) 283-4630.
- Steve Hurd recently had reprints of the church history which he had compiled for our 175th Anniversary (1827-2002). There are just a handful of copies available if anyone would like to have one. If you are interested, please contact Steve at [email protected].
- A notice will be sent out shortly introducing our new Music Director! Keep your eyes open!
I would be remiss if I didn’t give a big SHOUT OUT to Steve and Sue Hurd this past weekend! I was sick the past 2 weeks, and the thought of climbing the stairs of the church to the office to make copies of Sunday’s bulletins – was just not going to happen! I called upon Steve and thankfully he and Sue were able to get everything done in time. It has always been in my nature to push through and not ask for help (sometimes I think I’m Superwoman!) . . . but this time I really needed it. I am grateful for their helping hands, and also grateful to this church for helping me understand that IT IS OK to ask for help! So, this is a reminder that if you find yourself in a position where you could use help – just reach out! MCCC has no shortage of willing, helping hands! Then . . . don’t forget to pass that helpfulness on to others in need!
Many blessings to all the many helpers in our church, and beyond!
