MCCC – Message from Pastor Chad – Stewardship, 4th for the 4C’s, and Advent Calendar
Stewardship
From my family to you (and yours), we want to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you know how much we love and appreciate our church family and can’t say THANK YOU enough for all the ways that you lift up, support, and encourage our lives. I feel extraordinarily blessed to serve you as your pastor.
This Sunday, our quiet Stewardship Campaign will conclude. Hopefully, you’ve had a chance to think and pray on what your stewardship will be in 2024 in terms of your time, talent, and treasure. Please bring your pledges Sunday or in the coming weeks as you feel led. Thank you for your love, prayer, and financial support as we seek to be God’s church in this time and place. I’m excited about all that is ahead as we continue to discern ways we can show our love for God by serving our neighbors in Mantua and beyond. Keep our congregation in your prayers as we make plans for the future of our mission, building, and ministry as the Mantua Center Christian Church!
Advent is here!
It may be hard to believe but Advent is here and will begin on Sunday, December 3rd. This year’s theme is “A weary world rejoices” and invites us to consider how to share and be joy even in the midst of heartache and weariness. The Christmas story is familiar and yet can still breathe newness into our lives and our ministry as a church. Please see the attached Advent Calendar so you’re aware of all the opportunities to fellowship and worship together as a congregation. May your Advent and Christmas season be blessed!
This Sunday is the 4th for the 4C’s! We will send the children out during the Children’s Moment to collect the non-perishables and any donations. The 4C’s is our local food cupboard and they truly appreciate all our support!
Looking forward to being with you in worship on Sunday!
With gratitude,
Chad
