A Message from Pastor Chad – Holy Humor Sunday & Week of Compassion
God’s Grace and Mercy be with you in the Name of the Risen Christ!
Christ is Risen! He is Risen Indeed!
On behalf of the Mantua Center Christian Church I want to wish you a Happy Easter and hope your Holy Week and Easter Celebration was meaningful for you. We had well over 50 people at our Sunrise Service at Derthicks. The sun did not make an appearance, but we still enjoyed our time together hearing the story and sharing communion. On Easter Sunday, the house was full and had over 45 views on YouTube. Thank you for being a part of the most important week of our faith and may we continue to live with the Resurrection spirit every day!
Week of Compassion
This is just a little reminder to keep collecting those coins for the Week of Compassion offering coming up on April 21st. We will have two weeks in April to concentrate on an important outreach of our church that serves many people in our country and around the world. Please consider what you might be able to cheerfully give to the offering and feel free to get more information at www.weekofcompassion.org.
Holy Humor Sunday this week
Last year we had our first Holy Humor Sunday and this year we will make it a tradition! This is the Sunday to celebrate the JOY of the resurrection and to have some fun in worship. We will be singing familiar (yet unfamiliar) Easter Carols, hearing jokes, and thinking about what it means to share the Gospel. We had a blast last year and we hope you will join us for this year’s celebration!
Have a wonderful rest of the weekend and look forward to being with you in worship on Sunday!
Peace, Chad
