CYF 2023 Charleston WV Mission Trip – Day 6
Our last workday began with another amazing breakfast. Pam took such good care of us, planning each meal to be nutritious and nourishing so that we could be our best on the worksite.
Team Dave & Sally joined Team Chad & Larisa at the Lester house. They completed flooring in the bedroom & laundry room, finished staining the deck and painted the entire house!
Team Chris & Carol was able to get the deck, stairs & one railing built for Ms. Calloway. She was very pleased to have another exit from her home.
After a dinner of leftovers (the best meal of the week IMHO), we headed down to the river for Riverfest for a free concert and to mingle with the Charleston community. Our three eldest youth led us in a meaningful devotional service in the church chapel, where they once again encouraged us all to do good, with ourselves, within our community and our world. Back at the apartment we shared an evening of games and fellowship before heading to bed for our final night.
