MCCC Weekly Update – July 11, 2022
God provided yet another gorgeous day here in Mantua! What a blessing it was to see the rhythm of the trees swaying back and forth in the wind! Being surrounded by many trees is one of my favorite things to enjoy! I hope you all had a chance to enjoy what God blessed us with today!
Below you will find the Weekly Calendar of Events. There are a couple of items I want to remind you of:
1) THIS SATURDAY there will be a Smile Team bake sale at the Mantua Historical Society Flea Market on the Green. The sale is from 10am-2pm on the green in front of the church. (In the event of inclement weather it will be moved inside the Civic Center). The Smile Team is hoping to raise money to fund future projects. If you would like to contribute some baked goods or volunteer to work at the bake sale table, please contact Becky Tipton at: (216) 870-7039 . Further details are in the attachment below.
2) THIS SUNDAY is our 5th Annual MCCC “Day of Kindness” which will be held in the Fellowship Hall following worship. Everyone is invited to choose a project (or two!) to participate in! Details for this event are also listed in the attachment below. The Smile Team has graciously offered to buy pizza for all the volunteers! Please plan to stay after to help spread some kindness within our community! Make it a family event and bring the kids!
3) THIS SUNDAY our MCCC Board Meeting will follow the Day of Kindness event at 12pm. As we begin this week, think about how you might spread some kindness through your words or actions. Sometimes it is as simple as holding a door for someone, extending a smile and a kind greeting, writing a note of cheer to someone you may have lost touch with, or lending an ear to someone (stranger or not) who might need someone to just sit and listen. We can all be good stewards of kindness. Just listen with your heart!
