MCCC Weekly Update – April 16, 2023
We have sooo many events going on at MCCC that it actually feels like a pre-Covid time! It is exciting to see our church engage in some of our old and new activities. I hope you all continue to keep our momentum going with your ideas and participation! We can’t do it all without your help. If you would like to get more involved in one of our many missions, please feel free to reach out! You can always try out a group, and if it doesn’t seem to fit for you, reach out and try a different one until you find your niche! MCCC certainly has NO shortage of missions!

Reminders:
- Tomorrow (4/16/23) the Elders will meet at 8:30am, and our Board Meeting will meet following Sunday classes from 12-1pm.
- Tomorrow (4/16/23) Jon Secaur will begin a NEW Sunday Class following worship! It is entitled “Bible and Beyond”. Feel free to check it out! We continue to also have “Life 101” led by Carol Buzbee, and “Seeking Enlightenment” led by Rev. Nancy Humes! How great it is to have so many choices!
- Story Time is every Tuesday for preschoolers from 10:30-11:30am. Anyone is welcome to join in stories, singing and crafts!
- Wed. April 19th is our Smile Team meeting at MCCC at 10am. We will be discussing our team hosting the April 30th potluck at 12pm, as well as upcoming random acts of kindness! If you have any ideas you would like us to consider or would like to help with any of our projects, please contact Becky Tipton at (216) 870-7039.
- Wed. April 19th is also Daytime Fellowship at 1:30-2:45pm. Also Pastor Chad will be leading Life Study with a new topic for this week and next week. As you know, Chad’s Sabbatical is coming up soon, and we will be having substitute Pastors as well as congregational leaders who will be preaching while he is away. For the next 2 weeks in Life Study he will be offering the subject of worship leading and preaching! You are ALL WELCOME to attend whether you plan on preaching/leading in worship or not! Please join us on April 19th & 26th from 7-8:30pm!
- Friday, April 21st, the Auble’s (12043 Udall Rd., Hiram, Oh 44234) will be hosting a MEN’S COOKOUT before Pastor Chad leaves for Sabbatical. All men of the church are welcome to attend. Please bring a snack to share and BYOB. RSVP to Brian Hurd [email protected] or 216-385-4822.
- Sat. April 22nd, “Fill a Bag and Feed a Family” will need volunteers to either pick-up filled bags off designated porches, or work at the food bank in Aurora to sort food. Either of these duties should take only 2 hours of your time. Please consider grabbing a friend or family members to help! Questions? Contact Liz Meeker 330-283-4630. The link is myfillabag.com.
- Sunday, April 23rd, is our 4th for the 4C’s! April items needed are: Canned Fruit, Canned Baked Beans, and Laundry Detergent. No donation is too small!!
- Sunday, April 23rd, the CYF Youth will hold their first fundraiser, a “Soup Supper & Auction” to help raise funds for their upcoming Mission Trip in June. Dinner is: Homemade Soup, salad, bread, beverage, and desserts. Tickets will be available TOMORROW at church and are $10 each, and you are encouraged to get them SOON! Doors open at 5pm at the old Mantua Center School. Please invite your neighbors, friends, or family to a great evening out! Let’s help support our CYF Youth!
