MCCC Weekly Updates & Events – June 11, 2023
Here we are into our 2nd week of June! The time seems to be flying by so quickly, but we have been blessed with beautiful weather these past couple weeks. Though our community crops and gardens could use a little rain, I rest assured that God will provide . . . in HIS own time!
We will have another wonderful service with our Guest Preacher, Rev. Dr. Alicia Evans-Hayes! Joining Rev. Alicia will be Katie Baird as our Worship Leader, Nora Brant and Katie Baird
who will lead us through Communion, Brian Hurd who will lead the Children’s Moment, Jan Green who will bless our church with her Special Music selection on the organ, and Sarah Park who will be back in the sanctuary as our wonderful pianist! We will also have Brian Hurd provide the Commissioning of the Mission Trip participants. We thank all the kids who will be working hard helping those in need, and we also thank the adults who are guiding the kids through their daily activities. I’m sure we will all anxiously await their memorable stories upon their return!
A couple of reminders . . .
1) The 4C’s do NOT need any more bag donations at this time. They are very grateful to all who shared their extra bags and they truly appreciated your support. Thanks a million TO ALL!
2) Loaves and Fishes will be having their next meal on Thursday, June 29th. We are avidly asking for volunteers to help us out with clean-up from 6:15-7:15pm on this date. We actually have only 5 more dinners scheduled through October. (We take off November & December) If you are able to VOLUNTEER JUST ONE HOUR of your time to help with CLEAN-UP on the LAST THURSDAY of any of these months, please contact Carolin Newell (330) 606-7125, or Sandi Kossick (330) 607-7003. Our Loaves & Fishes workers will be VERY grateful for the extra helping hands!!
On a side note . . .
As our CYF “crew” (kids and adults) leave us Sunday for their mission trip, please keep them close in your thoughts and prayers for a wonderful trip focused on helping others. May they have safe travels and come back “Filled to the Brim” with exciting memories, enriched friendships, and a renewal of faith through working together and helping others. They are setting an amazing example of spreading God’s love, in just one of the many ways He has taught! Amen!
Blessing to you ALL as you go about your own lives this week. Perhaps you will also find someone you can share God’s love with! Bet you won’t have to look far!
