From Pastor Chad – Buidling Progress and Coin Boxes!

From the Pastor, News

What a week it has been at MCCC! The work continues on the building and the progress has been fantastic. The crew is working hard and our building trustees are there to help and oversee things every step of the way. As you can imagine, there is always something that comes up or snag that gets hit, but all the team is working together to make things happen. We are blessed with wonderful people and leaders to see this through.

Week of Compassion – Bring your Coin Boxes this Sunday!

This Sunday is the second and final Sunday of our Week of Compassion week.  The Week of Compassion is the relief, refugee and development mission fund of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada. Here is their Mission, Vision, and Core Values…

Mission
As the relief, refugee, and development mission fund of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Week of Compassion works with partners to alleviate suffering throughout the world.

Vision
A world where God’s people transform suffering into hope.

Core Values
We value connection, partnering with individuals, congregations, and organizations to serve the needs of the world.
We rely on integrity, and commit to faithful stewardship, ensuring gifts entrusted to Week of Compassion are making the greatest impact.
We focus on accompaniment, embodying God’s grace by committing to a long-term presence with communities in need.

Week of Compassion offers relief to many people around our world and we are blessed to have them as part of our denominational witness as the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Please give cheerfully this Sunday and bring those FULL coinboxes! 🙂

God’s grace and peace be with you and looking forward to being with you in worship!

Peace in Christ,

Chad
