On a side note:
This Sunday is Father’s Day, and as Chad said earlier today, for some it is met with excitement, for some it is met with trepidation, and for others who have lost their dad’s it can be a day of reflection or sadness. I was one of the lucky ones who had a dad who made me feel loved. He passed away in 2000 and I miss him still. I don’t think a day goes by that he doesn’t come to my mind. Just this week as I was painting the deck, I felt grateful that he showed me how to do it “properly”! He was a perfectionist, and always emphasized the importance of doing things to the best of your ability . . . and then some! Go for better than 100%! I am blessed to have had two really great parents that taught me so much.
On this Father’s Day, be sure to tell your dad, or your father-like figure, that you love him. Let him know how important he was/is to your life. In the big picture, time is short, and your heart-felt words are more important than any gift money can buy! Happy Father’s Day to ALL THE MEN at MCCC!
Blessings to you all for a wonderful weekend and even better week ahead!
