MCCC Outdoor Worship - Baptism Service - May 2, 2021
Starting this Sunday we will begin holding our worship services outside at the church building every Sunday at 9:30am. This is a wonderful step towards what we all hope to lead to our re-entry into the building. We will be taking one step at a time and following the guidance of our local health officials.
Each Sunday at 9:30am we will have worship streamed online and at the building, rain or shine! If the weather is good we'll be out in front of the building. If rain is likely, we'll ask you to pull around for "Worship at the Windows." Either way, we will have worship at the building and online each week.
Our YOUTUBE online stream this week will be a PRIVATE LINK because the service includes an infant baptism. We are only sending this out via email so please contact [email protected] for the YouTube link.

*Call to Worship
ONE: Who has been with us from before the beginning, bringing us into existence?
ALL: Who has loved us and blessed us and sent us on our way?
ONE: Who has pointed us toward the path and posted the signs we need to find our way?
ALL: Who has been at our side when the road has been smooth and gently curving?
ONE: Who has kept with us through hairpin turns and construction zones and potholes and detours?
ALL: Who will celebrate with us when we complete our course and seek the comfort of eternity?
ONE: Only One. The One and Only.
ALL: The Holy One. The One and Holy. Thanks be to God!

*Song of Praise:
1 Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning our song shall rise to thee:
holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty,
God in three persons, blessed Trinity!
2 Holy, holy, holy! all the saints adore thee;
casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea;
cherubim and seraphim falling down before thee,
God ever-living, through eternity.
3 Holy, holy, holy! though the darkness hide thee,
though the sinful human eye thy glory may not see;
only thou art holy; there is none beside thee,
perfect in power, in love, and purity.
4 Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
All thy works shall praise thy Name, in earth and sky and sea;
Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty,
God in three persons, blessed Trinity!

Questions of the Candidates
*Congregational Assent and Affirmation of Faith
Pastor: Jesus Christ calls us to make disciples of all nations and to offer the gift of grace in baptism. Do you, who witness and celebrate this sacrament, promise your love, support, and care to this child before you about to be baptized, as she lives and grows in Christ?
ALL: We promise our love, support, and care.
Pastor: Let us unite with the church in all times and places in confessing our faith.
All: In the company of all Christians, we believe and trust in God the creator, who made the world; and in Jesus Christ, who redeemed humankind; and in the Holy Spirit, who gives guidance and life to the people of God.
