Christmas Eve Update from the Gathering Team
As we approach the sacred holiday of Christmas we have been exploring our Advent theme, Close to Home. Calling MCCC your church home has probably looked and felt differently the last few years, yet still we are bound together through the power of the Holy Spirit and called into beloved community. A Home seeking to have open minds, open hearts, and open arms. Thank you all for your continued flexibility, love, and support.
Our Gathering Team has decided that we will still hold in-person Christmas Eve services at 5:00pm and 7:00pm despite the rash of covid cases in our community. We want to provide space in our sanctuary, fellowship hall, and online to help everyone have a meaningful and safe experience on Christmas Eve. The 5pm service will be a Carol Sing and the 7pm Traditional Candle Light.
For In-Person Worship please note some adjustments:
– Every other pew will be closed and spillover seating will be available in Fellowship Hall
– Windows will be partially open for airflow–bring a sweater! – The mask requirement will remain in place
– We will still be singing carols
If you have any symptoms or feel the least bit uncomfortable, please feel free to worship at home with our wonderful online worship service. We want all to feel as comfortable and safe as possible, so please make the best choice for you and your family.
If you have any questions about this feel free to be in touch with me or our Gathering Team chairperson, Jon Secaur.
God’s Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love be with you all this Christmas and looking forward to worshiping with you on Christmas Eve.
In Christ,
Chad
