CYF 2023 Charleston WV Mission Trip – Day 1
DAY 1 (June 11, 2023) – We have arrived in Charleston, WV to seek good and not evil so that we may live (Amos 5:14) – Together We Make Good Trouble!
After being commissioned by our wonderful family at Mantua Center Christian Church, we headed south. We made a stop at Dover City Park for lunch and a little play time. We arrived in Charleston at Christ Church United Methodist and received a tour of the church and our apartment accommodations. Wow! The church is amazing! Chad got a glimpse of his dream gym 
The youth fellowship room provided an awesome space to gather, and the kitchen/dining area is a wonderful space for nourishment so lovingly prepared by Pam!
After settling in and eating dinner, we had time to decompress and get ready for the week. Important discussions and activities about why we are here and how we can do our part to let the residents we are serving this week know they are loved and that there is hope!
