Hope you have all had a chance to enjoy the sunshine we have had recently.  Although the days have been hot, the evenings make perfect weather to get some outside jobs done.

Tomorrow’s Guest Preacher will be Rev. Dr. Alecia Evans-Hayes.  Pastor Chad had hoped she would be available to fill in for him while he was on Sabbatical, and she is graciously joining us through June and July!  We will be hosting a coffee hour/reception following worship tomorrow in the Fellowship Hall.  If you signed up to donate cookies for tomorrow, don’t forget to bring them!! This will be an exciting time for our church, and we want to give Alecia a warm welcome.

Joining Rev. Dr. Alecia Evans-Hayes will be Katie Baird as Worship Leader, Nora Brant and Brian Hurd who will lead us through Communion, and our own Jan Green who has graciously agreed to play the organ for our service while Sarah is on vacation!  Additionally we will be Commissioning the kids and adults who will be attending Camp Christian through the next few months, and we will have a Prayer Shawl Consecration led by Kathy Meier and Katie Baird.  What a full Sunday will be had for all tomorrow.  I encourage you to attend!

On a side note . . .

Our local Christian Churches are sending several kids and adult leaders to West Virginia to help with projects for the Veterans and elderly people in need.  They are in need of snacks (kids AND adults love munchies!) and I have attached the list of items needed in case you are able to help out our “crew” with any donations.  Please know, even ONE item when combined with others will help feed many during the week.  NO DONATION IS EVER TOO SMALL!  I hope you will take a moment to check out the list and help if you are able.  Also keep them in your prayers as they prepare for their departure next Sunday, June 11th.
