Church Family,

As word spreads about the possibilities of the state beginning to open up in different ways I wanted to let you know where MCCC is at the current moment. As a community, we have heeded the call to shelter-in-place and protect the most vulnerable in our community and world and that is not changing at this point. As the church, we want to support all the efforts to save lives by staying home!

That being said, our MCCC Leadership is starting to look ahead and consider what sort of options we might have to gather later in the summer months. As recommendations come from the governor/health authorities for incremental re-opening, our MCCC leadership will discern how those might translate into our context. We will be prioritizing safety and patience as consider those options. In either case, we will continue to stream services and seek to offer a meaningful worship experience for you at home. We hope, too, that you will continue to reach out to one another. Grab your directory (or email me for one) and take a few minutes to check-in on someone who is on your heart. The church is not a building…the church is the people!

Zoom Opps

This week, we will have several opportunities to gather over Zoom call!
Life Study, Wednesday Prayer, and MCCC Kid’s Call (see sign-in info below)

• Life Study from 6:30-7:30pm continues this week with an interview with Rabbi Jonathan Sacks called “How we can navigate the coronavirus pandemic with courage and hope.” Even if you missed the first couple, there is still some wonderful conversation to be had!
• Wednesday Prayer – Afternoon at 2:00pm. We will gather for a time of sharing and prayer. Please join us to pray for our congregation and community.
• MCCC Kid’s Call on Thurs at 7:00pm. This week we will do a Scavenger Hunt and hear a story. Feel free to invite friends and family to join us.
