Church Family,

This past Sunday was a joy to have folks in our Zoom watch party.  We had a great conversation about the service and it was all topped off with Steve Hurd sharing some historical pictures of church folks that we all might recognize.  How great it was to see a youthful Vic and Pat Magyarics laughing at a table of friends and Roger and Linda Hurd at a CYF party.  We also had a chance to check out Marie Derthick’s snazzy shoes.  It was a great time and we hope to be able to do it again.  Obviously it’s hard to be apart right now, but these kinds of experiences were really uplifting.  Thanks to Steve and everyone who was there to experience it. 

MCCC UPDATE

This Sunday, I will be bringing a recommendation to the Board from our Gathering Team as we move into the fall and winter.  The document will be available after the board meeting discussion.  The Gathering Team will also meet again next month to consider some other possibilities.  The state’s recommended restrictions are still in place and there is concern about the flu/covid combo.  We are keeping a close eye on our county (and neighboring county) numbers and trying to do our part to keep people safe.

MCCC DRIVE-IN Worship

We will again try to do a Drive-In Worship Service at Derthick’s Farm this coming Sunday at 9:30am.  Hopefully the weather will cooperate!  Stay tuned!
