On a side note . . .
Summer has officially arrived, bringing heat waves and an influx of insects. Of course, I do understand that insects have their place in the ecosystem. . . but, personally, I could do with a few less around my property! Speaking of heat waves . . . last Sunday was a sweltering one in the sanctuary especially for our new transition minister, Rev. Cynthia! In spite of the extreme heat, she delivered an amazing sermon with such energy and animation that no one could fall asleep! This week, after sharing a Worship Team meeting with her, I am thrilled to say that she is the perfect addition to our MCCC family during this transition period. She has a wealth of positive suggestions to aid in our pastor search, her organizational skills are amazing, her thoughtfulness in preparing her sermons for our specific congregation is “spot on,” and her sense of humor is delightful! (We all know that a good sense of humor is a MUST at MCCC!) Be sure to take a few minutes to really get to know Cynthia as she is a joy to engage with! Also, please know that she is available for counseling/meetings or just to chat should the need arise! (To set up an appointment with her, please call the church phone number 330-274-8258 and leave a message. Your call will then be forwarded to Rev. Cynthia.) We have certainly been blessed to have her help our congregation not once, but TWICE! God is surely watching and guiding us through this phase! Amen!
As you journey through life this week, please remember to shine your light and love to others. Let your presence be the reason someone smiles and feels your spirit this week. May they, in turn, feel so blessed that they want to pass that blessing along to others! Amen!
Hope to see you Sunday!
Sandi
