Church Family,

I have been blessed this week seeing the signs of spring around us.  I’ve seen grass in my yard for the first time in a while.  I’ve been hearing some birds and the weather has been warmer.  I’ve also been hearing that more and more folks are getting vaccinated and the cases/deaths around the country are beginning to go down.  Signs of Spring indeed!  That being said, we all know that signs of spring in February are usually a bit of a tease.  Chances are there will be some more snow and more patience will be required… this works both for waiting for better weather and as we wait out this pandemic.  Let’s continue to be patient with the weather, one another, and do our best to keep one another safe at this time. 

MCCC Worship this Sunday

This Sunday, Feb 28 we will again be in the Gospel of Luke looking at a Jesus’ call to repentance.  What does repentance really mean and require of us?  I learned something new this week (as I always do) and am excited to share with you how I’ve gained a deeper perspective on this important aspect of our faith.  If we are going to Live the Resurrection, we will need to take repentance with us.  

We will meet as usual at 9:30am on Zoom for Worship or you can feel free to watch it on your own.  Our Fellowship/Discussion hour will begin around 10:15 or so.  You are welcome to join with us anytime.  I will send the YouTube link out when it is available!  🙂  

Tuesday Night Study

We had our first Tuesday Night Julian of Norwich study and it went great.  There is so much wisdom we can glean from this 14th century anchoress who lived through a pandemic.  If you want to join us for the remainder of the study or just want to drop by…feel free!

Lenten Wednesday Worship

Remember that on Wednesday nights we will have worship at the windows and YouTube Live from 6:30-7:00pm.  If you missed it you can always go to our YouTube channel and find the recording there.  This week we had the awesome additions of lyrics videos for the songs and scripture readings on the live stream.  Thanks to Carol Magyarics, CJ Delaney, and Jon Secaur we are able to add this feature to the live videos of the service.  That being said, we struggled with the sound that night and are still working out the kinks.  Thanks for your patience as we navigate this new world of online worship.
