Greetings on these beautiful March days.  Signs of spring are starting to peek out and the sun has been out for a few days…joys all around! 

MCCC Gathering Team Update

The MCCC Gathering Team met last Sunday afternoon to address two topics

(1) Updating Criteria for Building Re-Entry and (2) Physical Building Readiness.  Given the state of the pandemic in our state and county, it is still advised that we not meet in indoor, group settings.  We have pledged to follow the local health guidelines as closely as possible and want to keep people safe.  This is an exciting time because many are getting vaccinated and the cases are coming down, but it’s also a dangerous time because people can let their guard down.  The team remains committed to keeping people safe, while also thinking very hard about honoring our value of being together. 

The Gathering Team came away with three tasks:

1. Devising a plan for Building usage based on the COLOR warning system.  There may be some fluctuation in the coming months and we want to be able to adapt accordingly.  
2. Commissioning the MCCC Trustees to start making a plan for building readiness.  As we consider re-entry at some point in 2021 we want to make sure there is a building use and cleaning/disinfecting plan that will meet the standards set by the CDC.  
3. Commission the Worship Team to explore possibilities for Outdoor Worship.  The Worship Team has already started thinking about what we could do.  I am EXCITED about this and looking forward to what might be possible.
