A Message from Pastor Chad – Rest, Trails & Worship

I’m back from a much-needed and truly restful vacation. Thank you so much for the grace and space to step away and recharge. As good as the time away was, I’m glad to be back and looking forward to being with all of you this Sunday.
While I was off, I spent a lot of time on one of my favorite places, the Headwaters Trail. I love hiking and biking on the main trail for its beauty…it’s like rolling through a green cathedral! But another part of it that I’ve begun to appreciate even more are the little tributary trails that split off now and then. The first time I wandered onto one, I realized I had been missing out on some beautiful scenery and a quiet stream to sit by. It struck me how often we stick to the well-worn path simply because it’s familiar, even when there might be more to discover.
In a similar way, our lives are full of paths and choices and some of them feel obvious, and others take a little more trust to explore. How do we decide which way to go? What are our values and guideposts that help us in these moments? This Sunday, we’ll reflect together on a passage from Jeremiah, where God invites the people to stand at the crossroads and look for the right path to walk in. It’s a message for all of us who might be discerning next steps, seeking renewal, or wondering which direction to take.
Looking forward to worshiping with you on Sunday! Hope to see you there!
Peace and joy,
Pastor Chad
