Pastor Chad’s Message – October 17, 2025 – Gifts to the Church

This week, I’ve been thinking about all the quiet, faithful ways that God’s love shows up among us. Jesus reminds us in Matthew 25:40, “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” Often, the ways we serve go unnoticed. The smiles we share, the meals we prepare, the prayers we lift, the spaces we care for may not make headlines, but they matter deeply in God’s work in our midst and in the world!
Today I wanted to celebrate someone who embodies this spirit of faithful, behind-the-scenes service–Beth Voynovich. Beth is a dedicated member of our church, a trustee, and the weekly custodian who lovingly cares for our building. She ensures that our space is clean, welcoming, and ready for worship and ministry. Her work is quiet, consistent, and makes a difference to all of us–a true example of loving God through active service.
In this season of stewardship, let’s give thanks to everyone in our church who gives in steady, quiet ways and reflect on the many ways we might not just give of our time, but of our talents and financial gifts as well. Your pledge commitment for next year helps us plan and allows our ministries to continue supporting the children, families, and neighbors whose lives are touched by our church every day.
Please join us this Sunday in worship as we celebrate how God is made present in the here and now through our gifts and service. Together, we witness Christ’s love taking shape in real time. Thank you for your faithfulness, generosity, and care. Every act of service, every gift, every prayer is a thread of God’s love weaving through our church and community.
Peace, Pastor Chad
