MCCC Announcements – Dec. 28, 2025

Along with the festivities of Christmas, sickness can sometimes wiggle its way in . . . and unfortunately, that is my status. I will not be able to share this Sunday’s service in person, so as not to spread any germs, but please know I will be thinking of you all and watching at home thanks to the MANY efforts of Carol Magyarics & Rick Painley! Our Tech Team is amazing and such a blessing to all!
Don’t forget that Kids Weekend Meals is starting a new fundraiser. The 2nd Sunday of each month we will be collecting “Cans for Kids!”. Due to the recent closing of church, our first collection will now be this Sunday,
Dec. 28th along with collecting for the 4C’s and the Free Clothing Giveaway. KWM’s “Cans for Kids” is asking for the following items:
- Canned Pasta,
- Canned Carrots/Vegetables and
- Protein Bars
Any little bit helps! Thank you in advance for your support! There are more details of what items these three organizations need in the announcements at the end of the attached bulletin, so please check it out!
Just a reminder that Pastor Chad will be on vacation until Monday, January 5, 2026. If you have any needs please reach out to your Elder or to Sandi Kossick. Both will be happy to help!
You are welcome to take home your poinsettia plants
if you would like. (You are also welcome to leave them to decorate the church if you would like!) I have put names on each of them, and there will be a list of what you ordered in the entryway and also on the chair by the organ on the chancel. Please make sure you get the correct plant! Thank you!

What talent we have at MCCC! We really are a blessed congregation!
On a side note . . .
Through the END OF JANUARY, our Worship Team is sponsoring a fundraiser called “Go the Extra Mile!”
We are collecting lots of spare change and we have individual containers for each of the coins within the “Tech Dept” in the back of the church. It will end on Jan. 31st so start looking for those coins & bring them in! Ask your friends and neighbors to save them too! Let’s “Go the Extra Mile” to help our church, as well as our other missions!
For those who have given their coins for this fundraiser. . . did you notice (?) there were some question and answer cards on the table? In hopes of expanding our knowledge with some fun facts, Rick Painley has been changing these out each week with some new ones. Here are a couple in case you missed them . . . Let’s see if you can answer them before looking at the answer!!
Question 1: What Roman coin was given as a day’s wage for a laborer?
Answer: A Denarius. With 1 Denarii you could buy a loaf of bread, a stick of butter OR have your tunic cleaned!
Question 2: The mint marks on coins are “P” “D” or “S”. They represent 3 cities where the mints are located?
Answer: “P” – Philadelphia, “D” – Denver, and “S” – San Francisco.
Spread your new knowledge with others as you continue to shine your light, love, and joy this week and throughout this season of joy!
Blessings to you all! Sandi
