On a side note . . .
This Sunday we will have the pleasure of hearing from our CYF (Christian Youth Fellowship) teens and their leaders as they tell their stories about how their Mission Trip went this summer. In case you missed the email sent out in July, here is the link to the post for the Christmount newsletter section where our MCCC youth were featured for helping clean up some of the trails, repairing various items—including part of the garden at the Dining Hall—transforming an outside gaming and picnic area, adding a ramp to the footbridge on the Blue Ridge Trail, and much more! I hope you will all join us this Sunday to support our youth and hear about their experiences. I look forward to also hearing about some of the comical stories that always seem to happen on these Mission Trips!
Special thanks to our group leaders Brian Hurd, Pam Auble, Christin Delaney and Larisa Catcott for organizing and sharing these experiences with our kids! You are simply awesome!
This week, I also want to remind you how important it is to intentionally carve out just 10 minutes of time each day in silence with God. Turn off the TV, silence your phone, and choose a place—either in nature or maybe a cozy spot in your home where you feel comfortable—and simply listen for God’s voice. Bring your troubles to Him, He will hear you. Bring your joys to him, He will hear you. Allow your heart to be filled up with His love, His hope, and His faith. My wish for you ALL, is that you have a week filled with many blessings and new discoveries in your moments of silence with God. Let His brilliance radiate upon all you come in contact with this week! Let us ALL spread God’s love as He has taught. May it be so! Hope to see you Sunday!
