Good Morning MCCC!

What a glorious morning God has made!  The sun is shining, birds are singing, hummingbirds are gathering nectar, and butterflies are abundant! Hope you all can take some time to enjoy this day, feel the warmth of the sun, and reflect on the beauty that God has created!  

The Delaney’s are still on their vacation to spend some quality time together as a family.  Pastor Chad will return to regular “Church Duties” on Monday, August 10th.  Please keep their family in your prayers as they enjoy these last several days together!

I am reminding you that Saturday August 8th, at Mantua Center School from 9-12 is our last Free Clothing Giveaway.  As I have previously mentioned, masks and gloves are REQUIRED so please come prepared.  We also will need some men and women of our church to volunteer to help take everything down and load into cars at 12:00 noon.  If you can offer up some “Muscle Help” to make this job go more quickly we will GREATLY APPRECIATE IT!  Also please pass the word that clothes can no longer be dropped off at the shed.  St. Pauly’s has closed the shed due to CoVid-19.  You can drop off clothes at Planet Aid drop boxes in the area.  Thanks for all your contributions.

Please keep in mind the less fortunate as well as those in our church or community who might need a phone call or text, a gift of food (left on the doorstep), or a simple card in the mail to let them know you are thinking of them and to cheer their day!  Class 101 met on Monday morning at the park and one of the things we had discussed doing was to reach out to just one member of our congregation this week and let them know we were thinking of them.  Give it a try!  Let’s spread some kindness!

Zoom Opportunities

At MCCC we have Wednesday Prayer, Anti-Racism Study (see sign-in info below)as opportunities to gather together. If you would like to gather separately for prayer or conversation (individually or small group), please be in touch with me.  
– Wednesday Prayer – Afternoon at 2:00pm.  We get together for a time of sharing and prayer. If you have prayer requests please send them to me so we can pray for them.  
– Wednesday Anti-Racism Study – Evening 6:30-7:30pm 

Life 101 Gathering

Just a reminder to all that Carol Buzbee and the Life 101 Sunday Chat group still continues to meet.  They have been meeting for support and spiritual conversation in-person for almost 2 months every Monday from 10:30-12:00 at Buchert Park in Mantua.  They have followed our MCCC guidelines and have been safely meeting with masks, 6ft distancing, and outdoors in the pavillion. There is a limit of 10 for the group, but if you are interested in joining please talk to Carol.
