Below is our Weekly Calendar of Events for 11/22-11/28.  One look at the calendar and you will see that the holidays are fast approaching!  Below are a few reminders of items to check out in the calendar.

1. Advent Devotionals will be ready for pick-up this Sunday before or after worship.  Please see Sandi Kossick.
2. The 4C’s food collection is this Sunday.  Items needed are Jello, Canned Pasta and Dish Soap.  
3. The deadline for our Mitten Tree Collection is this Sunday.  Let’s make this a “Better than Ever” Collection!
4. Don’t forget to turn in your poinsettia orders before Dec. 5th.  A copy of the form is attached below and is also available on the bulletin board in the entrance to the church.
5. Be sure to check out the volunteers that are needed for the Craft Bazaar and also the Smile Team Fundraiser.  Please help if you are able!

What a wonderfully joyful service the children (and adults!) presented to the congregation yesterday!  The focus was on “What Brings You Joy?”  The kids in our congregation bring such joy to everyone just with their presence,  and they did not disappoint with their thoughts and stories!  It was also special to see the front of the sanctuary displayed with many items that bring joy to the congregation members.  All around it was a wonderful service, and many thanks are also extended to Chad and Tim Bennett for their parts too! 

This Thursday is Thanksgiving and a time where many families spend a few minutes sharing what they are thankful for.  I think this Thursday I may have our family mention not only what they are thankful for… but also what brings each one of them joy.  Maybe I should give them a “heads up” before dinner!  Who knows?  It might start a new Thanksgiving tradition!
