MCCC Announcements – September 7, 2025

I hope this email finds you all well and that you had a chance this week to do something kind for someone you encountered! If you didn’t, it’s not too late to be the light for someone in need! Just sayin’;)
This Sunday is coming up so quickly, but I wanted to remind everyone that we will be having an ice cream social following worship to kick-off our Sunday School Classes! If you have a favorite topping you would like to share, please bring it along! We will also be recognizing Faith Brewer, our new intern for the Children’s Class! Please make sure you take a moment to introduce yourself and welcome her to MCCC! Then choose one of our various classes and give it a try! Hope to share with you all these wonderful events this Sunday!
As Pastor Chad noted in an earlier email, he will be starting “Dwelling in the Word” scripture study on Wednesday, Sept. 10th from 1:15-2:30pm! This class will resume every Wednesday and everyone is welcome to join in the discussions. Hope you have some time in the afternoon and can give this class a try!
There are many more announcements for MCCC on the last 2 pages of the attached bulletin, so please check it out so you don’t miss anything.

Pastor Chad and Kathleen Leigh-Lewarchick will both be leading the worship service tomorrow. This is our 3rd Sunday in the “Lord’s Prayer Series” and Kathleen will bless us with her words for the sermon. Joining them will be Leighton Baynes as Worship Leader, our Elder’s Katie Baird and Carol Buzbee will lead us through Communion, Sarah Park will not only play our hymns, but she will also be playing a Special Music selection! I look forward to the worship service and hope you can be there either in person or online.
On a side note . . .
We have recently had quite a number of people added to the ongoing Prayer Chain list and hope you have taken the time to check it out. When people contact me (or Chad) to include someone they love (or themselves) on the list, they are reaching out for comfort, encouragement, a sign that you care about what they are going through and that THEY matter. It only takes a moment to reach out with a phone call, a note in the mail, or even a note via email to let them know that you are thinking of them and they are in your heart and in your prayers.
Last week I talked about “time” and how making some minor adjustments on how you spend your “free” time could perhaps lighten the load of someone who is, for instance, on the Prayer Chain list. I actually tried it this week and it felt exactly the kind of thing God would want us to do. Just 15 minutes here and there or several acts of kindness multiple times a day can be a game changer! So . . . perhaps take a look at the Prayer Chain list and pick someone to contact. I think you might find it will not only brighten their day, but it will warm your own heart in the process! (I have a few extra printed copies on the Card Caring Desk in the Fellowship Hall for the taking! It will be updated again around the 15th of September)
Blessings to you all this coming week in all you do!
Sandi
