Do you know why I am celebrating today?  Do you know what is significant about March 20, 2026?  I am celebrating today because it is the first day of Spring in this new year!  The sun peeked through the clouds a few times today, but a light rain also shared the day.  Kind of a nice balance. The most noticeable thing for me today was the sounds of spring.  The birds sang joyfully all day, and the peepers joined them in unison.  In addition to the sounds of nature, the daffodils and other flowers and plants have been renewing themselves, poking their stems through the ground to eventually show off their beauty.  This is a beautiful time of year, full of nature’s renewal and growth.  As a reminder, let us first not get so busy in our every day lives, that we forget to take a moment to relish the beauty around us.  Second, let us remember to thank God for all his magnificent creations and for the joy this “re-birth” brings to so many of us.  May you all take some time to notice all the goodness and beauty around you, and thank God for all of his blessings.  May it be so!

We seem to have so many announcements at the church that it is actually hard to keep track of them all!  I will go through the most urgent news, and then ask you to follow up with the announcements at the end of the attached bulletin.  I hope to see you at many of these future gatherings!

1) CYF will be hosting a Dinner and Auction Fundraiser on April 12th with the proceeds going to their Mission Trip in June.  Keep your eyes opened for more details!

2) Sarah Park, along with Daniel Oh (vocalist), and Minchae Kim (violinist) will be holding a concert at Hiram Christian Church at 5pm on Saturday, April 11th.  All donations will go to Kids Weekend Meals!  I hope you will support their talents and this mission!

3)  We will be having our “5th Sunday of the Month” potluck on March 29th following worship.  Hope you can attend!

4)  Steve Hurd, following the potluck on March 29th, will be leading a brief Bicentennial Committee Meeting and EVERYONE is welcome to attend!  We will review logo examples, merchandise suggestions, brainstorm something “200” to do and more.  Previous committee members as well as anyone interested are welcome to attend!

5)  Just a reminder that Deb Olson is leading this year’s Easter Breakfast on April 5th from 8:15-9:15am.  Please reach out to help if you are available!  At last count we still needed stick butter and eggs!  Every little bit helps!
