Action Needed: Kids Weekend Meals Online Pledges

There are some that have open online pledges on the MCCC site that are for KWM. To stop them on MCCC and move them to KWM, the first step is to cancel the existing pledges. To do that, on an email receipt that you got for making a MCCC deposit, which would have come to you starting with “comms,” at the second from bottom paragraph, you will see “manage my donations.” Click on that. This will take you to Create your donor account. Click on recurring donations, click view, click “X” at end of line on the donation you want to cancel. You will see “cancel recurring donation and that’s it.
To set it up the donation on the KWM site, you can visit mantuacentercc.org, and select online giving. Click there but you are on MCCC’s site at this point. Down further there is a statement that “if you are looking for KWM’s site” click here, and you will see the KWM yellow background and our food bag logo. Make a deposit, get a receipt by email with the title “comms,” and follow the prompts to Create your donor account. Your online deposit has now been transferred to KWM.
The set-up donation for the KWM is exactly what you would do to set up an online donation for anyone wishing to do so.
Just to review, also remember as of April 1st, all checks for Mantua Center must be made out to Mantua Center and all checks for KWM must be make out to Kids Weekend Meals or KWM is ok too. As hard as it is to give money back, we can no longer accept checks made out incorrectly. This is at the advice of our lawyer.
Lastly, I want to repeat that KWM is a shared ministry and the only reason that we filed for the 501c3 (which will entail a lot of work for the treasurer) was to allow KWM to grow and accept grants and gifts that we can’t except now. This was not a move to make everyone’s life miserable.
I will be in church on Sunday and will have some paperwork to demonstrate this process. I also am more than willing to answer any question that you might have. Please ask! See you Sunday!
